GREAT DAY!!

WOW!! Where do I begin? Yesterday was a GREAT day! Thank you so much to everyone at work who has donated. We raised $170 for Jeans for Genes Day!! It was so wonderful seeing associates get involved in such a great cause for my son. And seeing them wear the Great Strides Stickers (see pic above) to show their support was awesome!

I gotta give a BIG shout out to Karen T. and all the other managers for helping me collect and raise all this money, and even putting the thank yous up on the wall(I wasn't expecting that) I couldn't do it without them. The word wouldn't get out there if it wasn't for all the mentioning at every AM and PM meetings. Oh yeah, and thanks for letting me take up so much space in the break room for all the info and pictures of Lil' Chris, and for giving me the time to set it up. I can't thank you all enough.

I also want to say thanks to Karen R. for baking brownies and selling them each for 50 cents to raise money for Lil' Chris! They were all bought by the time I got to work! Thanks Karen R. for raising over $15.00!!! That was a GREAT idea!! I mentioned how you did that at the meeting last night, and a few other associates were talking about what they could make and bring in to sell for Lil' Chris!

Thanks Terri for taking a flyer to hang at your other job to help try to get more donations. I heard there were others too that also handed out some flyers. Again, I'm amazed at to what lengths people go to for us. Thank you all!!

One more BIG THANKS to Barb N. who surprised me with a very generous donation by donating on-line. I was sooooooo excited to see it last night when I got home from work!! Thanks Barb =)

So, our goal is $1500, and the total amount that we have raised so far is .......... $480.00!!! YEA!!! We got a little over one week to make our goal. We can do it ; )
