Great Strides Update

Great Job to D and my in-laws for all the money you have raised so far for your walk on May 10th! It looks like you are almost half way there! According to this, you have $460 and your goal is $1,000. GREAT JOB!!!! Thanks everybody who has donated so far. I can't thank you enough.

As for my team who is walking on May 4th, we have raised about $300 toward our goal of $1,500. Tomorrow is my first Jeans for Genes Day at work. I'm so excited! Hopefully we raise a lot of money! I'll let you know how it goes.
An associate came to me the other day and asked if she could do a bake sale to raise $ for Lil' Chris. I was ecstatic!! I couldn't believe someone (who has a lot going on in her life right now with her very sick granddaughter) would go out of their way to help us. It blew my mind how generous and kind some people are in this world. Thanks you so so much Karen R. You also gave me a great idea! I talked to one of our local restaurants last night, as my husband and I were going around town handing out flyers or posting them in places or talking to managers for donations, and this restaurant said they would donate food, like cookies and stuff. I thought about what Karen said about doing a bake sale, so I'm going to call them back and set up a date and time. I can't wait! It should be a lot of fun!

Big Thanks to:
D(thanks sis:)
Mary L.
Sue H.

If you would like to donate to my walk, please email me here.
Thanks for helping find a cure for all CFers!!

This is great news! I am just so proud of you guys. Isn't it awesome to watch how God works things out? I just sent in a check for $105.00 from cash that people have donated. That money put us over the half way mark. I got permission to put up a flyer in Walmart last night and it was suggested to me by the shift manager to make up flyers and put them on the cars in the parking lot. We are getting our T-shirts printed for free! There is a woman who does this on the side and checked with the company that supplies her with the paper used to do the printing and they are donating all the paper to her and she is donating the printing to us. Now that I have a little bit of a clue as to what I am doing, next year will be better.
Lovin & missin you all
